Compliance Testing Lab Assistant

This employee performs a variety of administrative duties for Ditch Witch Compliance Testing Service.  This includes test scheduling, tracking and scheduling equipment calibrations, records creation and maintenance in accordance with ISO 17025 quality system, writing compliance test reports, and serving as the administrative contact for Ditch Witch Compliance Testing Service. 



  • Maintain test schedule for Ditch Witch Compliance Testing Service.
  • Create and maintain a variety of documentation in accordance with ISO 17025 quality system.
  • Gather product information from laboratory clients prior to testing.
  • Coordinate and track test schedules with third party laboratories.
  • Coordinate test equipment calibration and file calibration data.
  • Assist lab staff with various administrative work.
  • Write test reports, procedures, and other documents using data provided by lab staff. 
  • Demonstrate outstanding initiative and self-sufficiency
  • Meet or exceed typical expectations for creativity, productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Office environment part of the time.
  • Laboratory environment most of the time, plant and outdoor environment occasionally. Plant and outdoor conditions include variable heat and humidity, dirt, and noise; physical hazards such as soldering irons, sharp objects, high voltage, electromagnetic radiation and moving machinery; hazardous materials such as solder and adhesives.
  • Regular, continuous use of standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopier, etc.)
  • Rapidly changing workloads and priorities.
  • Typical 9-hour work day, with hours that vary according to the needs of the job.
  • Occasional air and highway travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds repetitively on occasion.



  • Have at least two years of office experience including administrative duties.
  • Be proficient using a personal computer and demonstrate appropriate office skills.
  • Be proficient using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrate technical writing skills including command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, word usage, compositions, and formatting.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, in person, written, and by telephone.
  • Be able to multi-task and work well with others in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Have a good work record, including indications of strong self-motivation, high productivity, reliable attendance, attention to quality, ability to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperative personality.

Knowledge of ISO 17025 quality management system is preferred.
