Job PurposeThe Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for design and development of enterprise-wide analytics and reporting solutions using data from multiple internal and external sources delivered using dashboards, scorecards, ad-hoc reports, managed reports and self-service reporting.

 

This individual is responsible for designing and building and delivering solutions using cubes and self-service BI tools to deliver accurate information to the business in a timely and consistent method.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:     

  • Design, develop, implement and support enterprise and departmental business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft Business Intelligence (BIDS) tool set (SQL Server)
    • BI Semantic model and Analysis Services (SSAS) Cube development and deployment within a Production environment
    • PowerBI and Reporting Services (SSRS) Report development against both cubes relational/dimensional data sources
    • SQL Tables, Views, Functions and Stored Procedures (SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, or newer)
  • With minimal supervision, perform tasks spanning the full lifecycle of BI development, including end-user interviews, business requirements analysis, analytic/report development, documentation, training and support
  • Ensure timely delivery of cubes and reports (daily, weekly, monthly, ad-hoc)
  • Provide training and support to business users with ad-hoc analysis as needed

Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues as needed to support business users

Specifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence development desired
  • 3+ years’ of broad SAP experience including FI, CO, SD, MM, and PP modules

 

Capabilities:

  • Thorough understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and methodologies
  • Solutions oriented, learn quickly, understand complex problems and apply useful solutions
  • Experience with PowerBI is required
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (SSIS, etc.) and ETL processes.
  • Experience with SQL Server (2008 R2, 2012, or newer)
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or other source code control
  • Skilled in multitasking and providing premium support to business users
  • Demonstrates the desire and ability to learn and utilize new technologies
