JOB SUMMARY:

The Radius Shipping Clerk will perform various warehouse activities designed to maintain an accurate inventory, and is responsible for order picking, packaging and ensuring the appropriate paperwork is complete for all shipping, domestic and international.  This will include updates to the order/s to complete the shipping and invoicing to the customer.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Pick orders that are requested by customers with a high level of accuracy.
  • Pre-package manufactured items so they are ready to ship to a customer.
  • Have a strong attention to detail to prevent errors during pre-packaging process.
  • Use company systems to update order status and to invoice orders when ready.
  • Generate necessary documents for domestic and International shipments using various reporting systems.
  • Follow proper process to ship international orders in compliance with regulatory concerns.
  • Properly manage inventory stock of finished good items and shipping materials.
  • Communicate directly with other departments daily to provide updates on order status.
  • Review orders status continually and ship all possible orders to maintain a high on time ship rate.
  • Maintaining records of movement of product.
  • Prepare appropriate paperwork for shipping, including bills of lading, customs forms, hazardous material documentation and invoices.
  • Safely utilize forklift in loading and unloading materials
  • Pack product in a safe and effective manner to ensure product arrives at customer safely.
  • Make safety a priority at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office & shop environment
    • The shp environment includes physical hazards such as powered vehicle and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery. 
  • Regular, continuous use of a phones and personal computers.
  • Rapidly changing workloads, priorities and deadlines.
  • Working closely with office personnel to include sales and accounting

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Typically, 2 years or more professional working experience.
  • Must have basic computer skills with previous work experience in MS Office; Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with USPS, UPS World Ship, FedEx, DHL shipping Systems.
  • Knowledge regulatory issues related to International shipping.
  • Familiarity with dangerous goods shipping and packaging requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the talent for teamwork.
  • Experience in operating forklifts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to frequently twist, reach, bend, and squat.
  • Flexible schedule as this position could be required to work additional hours.
  • Must pass background check and drug test.
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
