Service Technician

This position will add capacity to the current service team and will play an instrumental role in driving HammerHead’s core value of providing superior customer service.  He/she will also be a critical resource to help ensure HammerHead achieves its long-term strategic objectives.  This position will perform other duties as assigned.


  • Provide technical support to customers over the telephone, addressing questions and problems
  • Provide service support for all products (hydraulic, pneumatic & electrical) on customer job sites; testing, troubleshooting and adjusting when needed
  • Provide remote computer support for equipment operating in the field.
  • Check specifications using various gauges, fixtures, electrical and hydraulic testing equipment.
  • Communicate with appropriate company employees regarding product problems and facilitate resolution
  • Conduct training and service programs in the operation and maintenance of equipment for dealer and customer employees
  • Responsible for conducting any field campaigns that may be assigned
  • Complete all required records and documentation for customers and for the company
  • Determine the acceptance of equipment use to verify warranty claims
  • Remain technically involved with new product developments



  • Physical hazards such as utilities (typically gas, electric, and water lines), powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery.  Outdoor environment includes work in all kinds of weather, and construction site conditions such as open excavations, unimproved land, uncompleted structures, etc.
  • This is a hands on service position. 
  • Regular, extended use of the telephone.
  • Rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Working with hazardous materials, including fuels, lubricants, drilling fluids, and batteries.



  • Travel requirements estimated to be 35% overnight travel with a willingness to travel internationally (requires a passport).
  • Service / technical experience
  • Some electrical experience required
  • Outgoing, personable, willing to get hands dirty
  • Ability to train on HammerHead product in the field and able to physically demonstrate how our equipment operates in field applications.  This includes the ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist, reach, and climb. 
  • Highly motivated and determined, yet understanding of unique cultural differences
  • Must have experience working with Microsoft applications
  • Have a valid driver’s license
