Quality Manager

Primary Function:

Performs inspections, checks and tests for quality control for manufactured or purchased products using fixed or preset measuring instruments.  Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged.  Responsible for a multitude of activities involving quality assurance and Lean Manufacturing initiatives, being the primary force behind waste reduction initiatives.  Collects, audits, and reviews /analyzes data and documentation.


Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform internal audits.

• Address non-conformities from previous internal and external audits.

• Conduct a Management Review of the Quality System.

• Follow-up on and closing pending Preventive and Corrective Action Requests.

• Insure that organizational systems and training is in place.

• Prepare organization for ISO 9000 and API audits.

• Ensure that documentation and design controls are appropriate for organization.

• Administer document control and configuration management system.

• Oversee established calibration and testing program.

• Assist the management team and provide QA support as necessary.

• Maintain Design History File.



• At least 3 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, should be combined with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments as a Quality Assurance Manager, and with satisfying customers in technology-driven, developing companies.

• Experience with ISO Quality System rules, regulations, including planning and implementation is very important.

• Oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.

• Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential.

• PC-based computing experience including MS Office applications.

• Experience in continuous improvement is required.

• Experience with facilitation of Kaizen events is preferred.

• Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications is preferred.
